Don't listen to the Decatur haters in other reviews. This is THE place to go in town if you are down for hangin' & bangin' with friends, family, etc. The beer is ice cold, the food is very affordable and great tasting, and the staff is friendly and the best as can be.

Had some drinks at this pretty sketchy looking Decatur bar. It has a name that's certainly accurate for location. 22nd Street Discount Liquor just needs to finish updating the rest of the name to reflect it being a bar and no longer a liquor store. Because it's been this way a long time they probably never will of course. With the looks of things the customers don't seem to care though. Certainly the best thing about it is the pretty cheap booze. It's also convenient as far as hours. They're open early in the morning so you won't have to wait long to get your drink on. Cool thing on the napkin holders is these explaining the pouring process for those who aren't aware. They show how much liquor comes in each type of shots. It's about $7 for a pretty basic cocktail. There's also greasy food options. Basically we only felt safe getting potato chips. Those wanting to take chances can get burgers, fish sandwiches, and other greasy and fried items. Good place for cheap drinks. It's also got fried foods and who knows what else. This is located just to the north of the bridge at Locust Street.
